▶Summary
Background #SPORTolerance project contributed to human capacity development in sport through set of mobilities for sport coaches including both educational modules and modules for exchange of good practices using sport for prevention of radicalization and building tolerance and solidarity. #SPORTolerance delivered local and international actions in BG, BE, BH and GR empowering sport experts and recording the experience in practical handbook - all actions recorded at www.sportolerance.com Objectives #SPORTolerance focused on transfer on knowledge through educational mobilities of sport coaches and transfer of good practices between European countries (EU and Western Balkans), promotion and sharing good practices in the field of preventing radicalization and promoting tolerance and solidarity through sport. #SPORTolerance added to the existing knowledge, know-how and practices of participating directly and indirectly sport organizations and persons involved in project activities and outputs. Implementation #SPORTolerance has been managed by strict implementation of the following work packages, reflecting the reach of project objectives through detailed activities plan:WP1: Project management and implementationWP2: Transnational mobilities of sport coachesWP3: Education Through Sport edition “Sport for promotion of Tolerance”WP4: Dissemination and visibilityMild discrepancies in schedulle has been recorded, due to COVID-19 pandemic, which lead as well to 6 months enlargement of project period Achievements #SPORTolerance planned results has been achieved and are: empower sport coaches from 4 countries to use new tools and instruments in their work with young people at risk of radicalization; Edition Education Through Sport edition “Sport for promotion of Tolerance” with new non-formal educational activities; raised awareness on the high demand of urgent actions for prevention of radicalization and promotion of tolerance and solidarity in European societies.
