Summary

Background It has been widely accepted that sport clubs are powerful and influential socio-political institutions because of their traditional dual economic and social bonds with local communities. They have been conceived as both homes for social interaction and powerful vehicles for social “exchange”, mainly due to their enormous communicational power, youth appeal/ identification and “role-modelling” ability. GoSport brings social responsibility to sport organizations in an easy to use way. Objectives Enhancing the capacities and awareness of sports clubs/organizationsImproving knowledge on how sport organisations interpret, manage and prioritise social responsibility issues within their organisationsProviding tools to sports organizations and professionals for understanding the relationships among the organization, its stakeholders and societyContributing to the promotion of participation and inclusivity principles in sport through social responsibility. Implementation During implementation we reached:101 sport professionals for interviews and field research106 professionals for synchronous learning Conducted 120 hours of trainingReached 1 million people in disseminationEnrolled 40+ professionals in our eLearning environment Achievements - 5 national reports and 1 summative and comparative report on how sport organizations understand and manage CSR and social responsibiity- 1 guide for sport organizations on how to implement CSR- 1, 12-hour training program for non-profit sport professionals & 1 handbook - 1, 12-hour training program for for-profit sport professionals & 1 handbook - 1 eLearning environment- 2 infographics with targeted information for sport organizations- 4 multiplier events with more than 200 people
