Football for Active aging, Inclusion and Together Healthy
▶Summary
Background The partners implements FAITH to promote social inclusion & equal opportunities through sport, improving healthy physical, psychological status and reducing the level of self-isolation of elderly, in accordance with the guidelines for active aging of the European Commission.Our idea inspired by a large number of elderly people in Rome, Sofia and Budapest - socially isolated & not engaged in social activities, we realized by the methodology of walking football, which we modified for our needs. Objectives Through FAITH achieved:- Opportunity to the older fans to join a new form of social expression - walking football.- Medical care for the participants (periodic medical examinations) for their fruitful & safe participation.- Satisfied participants -with useful position in the game & to part of their favorite club.- Expanded social circle, through off-field activities all together. - Exchanged good clubs practices.- Developed training materials - basis for multi-sport walking activities. Implementation For successful implementation of the FAITH objectives, consortium realizes:- Training programme - Guide for coaches & staff- Kick-off meeting, Rome, Italy- Selected 15 stakeholders;-Trained 35 coaches, volunteers and staff; - 61 elderly & 183 trainings; - Dissemination tournament, Sofia, Bulgaria; - Project meeting, Budapest, Hungary- Monitored the quality project realization; - Collected data on qualitative and quantitative indicators;- Developed communication &dissemination tools. Achievements For successful the FAITH realization we created:- Website; - Facebook page; - Quality expert report;- 3 - Training materials;- 200 - Leaflets;- > 2000 - Photos & videos;- 85 - Publications;- Lists - participants, coaches & volunteers, publications.The project contribute to: - Ideas & good practices exchange for management & trainings;- New knowledge for the walking football - staff & coaches;- New skills of elderly participants; - Life performances during dissemination tournament.
