"Developing a new generation of sport fans"

Background The Project managed by Gentlemen Fan Association (GFA), in small collaboration partnership with ASTERI-Greece, CID-N. Macedonia and FC Lokomotiva-Belgrade. Project was initiated with scope to address societal challenges and deteriorating situation in sport environment of Balkans (hooliganism, hate, violence and criminal) by approaching vulnerable 14-16 age group, sharing GFA experiences as role model of sportsmanlike support and behavior and making steps to increase awareness in wider community Objectives Key objectives related to the European policies in sport achieved: a)Encouraging social inclusion and equal opportunities in sport: analysis, revealing bad and promoting good behaviors, sharing own example; b) European traditional sports promotion: popularized genuine values of football as central sport in the Balkans fans environment; c) Promote education in and through sport: workshops for school students and OER for all stakeholders; d) Successful transnational cooperation and networking Implementation The planned project activities completed within scope and budget, with 5-months delay due to pandemic crisis, other risks timely managed. Transnational events duly organized, with participation of value-adding guests. School workshops and surveys prepared and delivered with support of specialized consultants and external institutions. Project booklet-OER completed. Project actions and results disseminated to target groups, stakeholders and wider public. Partners' cooperation extraordinary. Achievements 1.Educational workshops cycle for students in 9 Belgrade schools with valuable survey results 2. Project booklet to be disseminated as an OER to trainers, teachers, parents and institutions 3.Transnational events, cross-cultural interaction and local actions supporting the scope, organized by each partner 4. Established strategic cooperation with important stakeholders which will enable further development 5. Dissemination materials to target groups, media, social networks and wider public
