Background Physical inactivity is considered to be one of the most important public health concerns globally. The implemented project activities - aimed at encouraging the participation in sport and physical activity (EAC/A03/2018 call topic N. 1), through the promotion of physical activities in places commonly not dedicated to their performance - are in line with the major EU policies promoting healthy lifestyle (Council Recommendation on HEPA; EU Physical Activity Guidelines; Europe 2020 strategy). Objectives NEXT aimed to bring physical activities in the common areas such as condominiums, public gardens, streets. in order to strengthen the motivation to participate of sedentary people, thus increasing the chances of success in terms of health and in contrast to sedentary habits. Furthermore, it aimed at a reconceptualization of the use of common spaces, "from possession to use", intended for physical activity and socialization., assuring the follow-up of the activities. Implementation The project involved all partners in the Intellectual Outputs (On line Platform, Toolkit, Capacity Building Program, Pilot events, Handbook, Policy Recommendations), identifying for each output a leader partner for implementation. Partners experimented with the methodology and tools, brought them to the neighborhoods. The management will be assured by a Management Board with one representative per partner and led by UISP, defining main strategic lines for the project implementation. Achievements Despite the restrictions Covid 19, project was able to:-Produce the Intellectual Output scheduled -Organize 3 pilot events-Organize 2 online webinairs-Organize 2 in-person multiplier sport events and 2 online multiplier sport events-Carry out 2 transnational meetings (of which the final conference) in presence and 3 online-Produce a comprehensive evaluation report on the impact of the project-Disseminate the methodology and the results among institutional and private stakeholders
