Summary

Background The project was based on 3 three days seminars, focused to best practice sharing between modern pentathlon coaches from CZE, SVK and EST wishing to promote education in and through sport with special focus on skills development. But last not least also to avoid a menace such as young athlete´s overtraining, physical and psychical sufferers. Objectives Best practice sharing in different areas:•Technical and tactical skills in epee fencing•Laser run skill´s •Physical and psychical preparation of athletes, include mental coaching•Video analysing skills •Threats & risks in youth training and how to prevent them Implementation The Covid situation in the world changed the plans of many, and our project was no exception. Nevertheless, all the planned meetings in all three countries were successful. We had to change the order of the meetings, compared to the request, but this did not change the benefit. Achievements Based on the common agreement of the participants, we evaluated the attached material on injury prevention of young athletes in modern pentathlon as the most beneficial output. We believe that it will be beneficial for anyone who looks into it. Of course, other shared and discussed practices in the preparation and training of special skills were also beneficial, as well as a significant side effect of the whole project - great motivation of every single coach, participating on the project.
