▶Summary
Background With this project we empowered collaboration on the sports field among: applicant organisation Association of inclusive culture (Slovenia), partner organisation Centar za autizam Rijeka (Croatia) and partner organisation Klettaskóli (Iceland). With this project, we expanded our knowledge for working with athletes - children and youngsters with autism, intellectual and combined disabilities in the field of sport. This target group have fewer opportunities to be included in sport programs. Objectives 1. Upgrade our existing sports programmes2. Involving at least 10 athletes with special needs3. Motivate and train volunteers 4. Monitoring the progress of athletes5. Improving social skills through sport activities6. Awareness raising 7. Transnational meetings8. Sharing and upgrading knowledge about the athletes9. Develop foundations for a new sport educational programme10. Promote the importance and positive effects of physical activities for athletes with special needs Implementation 1.Implementing new approaches on training2.Each one included at least 10 athletes3.Two teambuildning trainings and regular involvment in the practice4.Taking measurements5.During the exercise,we motivated the children to participate6.With the help of social media and the Internet,we regularly (twice/week) published news7.Implementation of TNM8.Regular meetings9.Evaluation meeting at the international conference10.
