SMART KICK

Background SMART KICK project provided for new strategic educational and training opportunities for all MF grassroots players as well as for sports and business organisations for joint promotion and increased participation. The project targeted athletes and coaches from 18 years old and onwards using the latest digital technologies and creating favourable conditions for increasing sport participation and successful education in sport related fields for people of diverse communities and all backgrounds. Objectives SMART KICK general objective was to encourage participation in sport and physical activity by setting up a trans-European network of five national minifootball (MF) organisations and one University. The project developped, tested and evaluated a sustainable European model for increasing sports organisations' capacity for promoting health-enhancing physical activity (HEPA) in grassroots sport. SMART KICK elaborated and piloted for the first time in Europe a federation - based online platform. Implementation Despite COVID-19 difficulties in the beginning of the project, the project consortium implemented all planned activities. The consortium had good communication and coordination in the two year span of the project, many additional online meeting were held, constant exchange of experience and ideas was being done. Although, slight delays in the development of the platform occured, all project activities were fulfilled on time and results of higher quality were achieved. Achievements During the project activities all project milestones and key deliverables were achieved. All project sight meetings were implemented. The multiplier events and all event targets achieved. Project milestones were separated in five WP with numerous deliverables. With the key deliverable being the elaboration and comissioning of the SMART KICK platfrom uniting all deliverables from the WPs under "one roof".
