โ–ถSummary

Background Mental well-being is an essential aspect of overall health and performance for coaches. As coaches are responsible for the well-being of their athletes, they must also take care of their own mental health. Our project includes a variety of initiatives and strategies to promote positive mental health and prevent burnout, to put the mental health of coaches to the forefront and to teach the coaches how to start to care about their mental health. Objectives Firs objective was to design and translate a questionnaire, than share it to 100+ coaches. Based on these findings we developed the pilot program and we presented it to the participants in the project who then shared their experiences to their colleagues and did local presentations. We shared the program online and through different channels. The final product is publication of the Manual โ€œTake Care of Your Coachโ€ (available for coaches on the web page). Implementation The questionnaires: every partner sent the questionnaire through their channels to 20 - 50 coaches. Each organization found two experienced coaches motivated to learn about mental health and improving their strategies.Transnational meetings with different activities for participants, expert workshops and lectures.Sharing and promoting the project on social media (Facebook, Instagram) and web page. Achievements Coaches from different countries and sports practiced the proposed techniques and shared their experiences. They reported better awareness of their issues and general well-being. They recognised the importance of sharing different experiences for their personal and professional development. The main result of the project is the Manual, free to share and accessible to download on the web page. Partners have shared the results, local and regional to different stakeholders in their local community.
