โ–ถSummary

Background Children with special needs are often unable to participate in many sports due to their physical limitations and usually practice only indoors. Exercise and playing sports are especially important for children, as they need to be engaged in at a young age if we want them to grow up to be healthy and physically active adults. From the earliest developmental periods, psychosocial development takes place in close connection with the development of motor skills and movement. Objectives This is solved by experts in the partner countries of the project in the Re-Sport project. They identified and collected existing local, regional, national and European good practices and concepts for sports-motivated children with special needs and developed a set of sports exercises for their greater involvement in sports activities, and at the same time developed a program for proto-volunteers to help young people. Implementation The "Re-Sport" project promotes social inclusion and equal opportunities in sport, and promotion of voluntary activity in sport and education in and through sport with a special emphasis on skill development. Two target groups benefit from the results of the project: a) young people with special needs and b) volunteers from sports organizations.On-line learning portal ensure raising awareness of the importance of sports for health and preventing injuries during sports practice. Achievements The results of the project were upload to the project websites and translated into all languages of the 8 partner countries and English, total 9. So that the final results of the project and the designed program course are accessible to all EU residents. The project was also promoted via social networks as FB so that it will reach many different people, even those who are not yet involved in sports. Local press and media were attended on sport events for youths.
