Summary

“Setting Parameters and Educational Tools of Women Empowerment in Sport” aims at reconnoitering and enhancing inclusion in Sport of women and girls, delivering toolsets that might be used by Sport organisations to motivate and support women and girls to continued participation in Sport as Athletes and Coaches. The actions integrated in SPETWES contribute directly to enhancing the rate of retention of young women in Sport practice and Coaching professions through transnational cooperation. Activities integrated in the project are: 1) Selection of national groups of young female beginner practitioners of Sport aged 16-25 (5 young women per country). 2) Selection of national groups of female Athletes aged 18-25 (3 per country) willing to develop into Coaches within their organisations.3) Analysis of educational needs and motivational barriers faced by each category in specific focus groups. 4) Analysis and reporting on existing good practices of training and motivational support to young female Athletes and prospective Coaches within Sport organisations, combined with the findings of national focus groups. 5) Implementation of local Training Courses with prospective female Sport Coaches (1 Training Course involving 3 female potential Coaches per country). The Training Course will be based on a Toolkit transnationally developed by partners based on research. 6) Co-design of educational format for young female Athletes focused on supporting acquisition of motivation, soft and transversal skills for continued participation in Sport.7) Local programmes of learning in Sport participation delivered by partners with the audience of female beginner Athletes (5 per country) with the cooperation of prospective female Sport Coaches. 8) Creation of a Manual with detailed instructions and guidelines for replication and of all the phases of the programme by external organizations.9) Development of a Web Platform with learning materials in all partner languages.
