Let's Remove Borders With Kin-Ball
▶Summary
Background “Let’s Remove Borders with Kin-Ball” is an Erasmus+ sports project of which the coordinator is the Spor Elcileri Dernegi from Turkey. Partners are Napoli United from Italy, Red Deporte from Spain, Conselho Nacional de Associações de Profissionais de Educação Física from Portugal, Awareness 4 Sports Training Environment Research & Internet from Greece. With the partnership of five countries, refugees and local youth were brought together with KIN-BALL sport and they were socialized. Objectives To bring refugee youth and children together with local youth and children with Kin-ball, to strengthen their communication with each other.To integrate refugees into the society in which they live.To raise awareness about the importance of physical activity in refugee youth and children.To raise awareness of the problems faced by refugees in societies and their solutions.To prove that coexistence in societies can be achieved through sports activities. Implementation During the project, 4 transnational meetings were held. Kin-ball was taught by the coaches of the Coordinator SPELL to the coaches of the partner countries at the kick-off meeting. Local coaches brought together refugees and local youth and took them to Kin-ball training at certain intervals. A website was established within the scope of dissemination activities. In addition, the Facebook page was used very strongly. The project was shared with external stakeholders through press conferences. Achievements Our project has ensured that KIN-BALL sports reach refugees. It was carried out in parallel with the objectives of the Erasmus+ Sports Program. Local and refugee youth were brought together through training and workshops held in every country. The biggest gain of our project was the feedback received after the events. KIN-BALL sport is actively played in the schools included in our project, and it continues to be popularized in the EU after the project period.
