Inclusive Traditional Games - In.Tra.Games
▶Summary
Background Inclusive Traditional Games was implemented from January 2021 to December 2022. The partners were 4C (Greece), L’Orma(Italy), Arousa Moza (Spain), KOM 018 (Serbia) and Right2Score (Belgium). The organisations came together with the common goal to promote inclusion and interculturality in their local communities. All organisations involved worked with local communities to implement the project in quality and build sustainable relationships between the people, communities, countries, and cultures Objectives -Create the space and the material for intercultural & intergenerational dialogue in local communities.-Create local initiatives in order to integrate different minority groups locally.-Support the local communities in becoming more active and using public spaces.-Create a network of partner organizations & exchange good practices on social inclusion through sports and traditional games. -Train youth workers/coaches from diverse backgrounds.-Create a manual of traditional games. Implementation The project implemented an online kick-off event, a TPM in Spain, a TPM in Greece and a final event in Italy as hosted. The team also presented the project during the EU Region week. Locally, the partners worked with their local communities and minority group throughout the duration of the project with meetings, consultations and local events. The partners provided training courses in each country where they shared the methodology and the games with sports coaches, youth workers and trainers. Achievements The most important result of Inclusive Traditional Games was the collaboration between the consortium and the local communities. The expertise and skills of the consortium were transferred to all partners and this contributed to the successful completion of the project. The creation of the manual which was translated into 12 languages (English, French, Spanish, Greek, Italian, Serbian, Albanian, Urdu, Swahili, Romani, Arabic and Chinese) was the tangible result of the project.
