Summary

Background The BeValueR project builds upon previous successful efforts of the partners for working with children aged 7-11 years for developing skills through taekwon-do. The new project will step on the results of the previous one, but will establish completely new innovative multi-dimensional approach so to achieve related aims and objectives. The project will develop, test and evaluate a sustainable European model for increasing sports organizations’ capacity for promoting HEPA among youths. Objectives Specific objectives of Be Value Reload are: • Establishment of an innovative multi-dimensional partnership approach, for attraction into sport of Generation Z youths aged 12 -17 years, in the context of EU policy on health-enhancing physical activity • Establishment of a European network of ambassadors for popularisation of Taekwon-do amongst youths as beneficial form of health-enhancing physical activity. Implementation The implementation includes preparation phase–research and inter-project coaching, implementation phase–development of the App and its implementation and piloting, awareness raising, communication and dissemination phase, evaluation embedded in all phases. More than 500 youths from 5 countries will take part at the project, increasing their participation in sport. Number of planned users of the ICT Multi-Platform App “BeValueR”–900. Organisation of a multiplier sport event for 280 participants. Achievements The project will deliver innovative outputs–BeValue Reload Bonus System and ICT Multi-Platform Application, that are targeted to better apply the EU HEPA policy, in the context of taekwondo sport. The bonus system will allow Generation Z aged 12–17 years to be evaluated each time they demonstrate key taekwondo qualities.
