Background The project envisions a Europe where floorball thrives universally. It promotes governance in national associations, uniting Mentee NAs with Mentor NAs to develop a strategic tool. Aligned with EU and IFF governance principles, the project aims at leadership and integrity. It addresses the need for organizational strength, integrity promotion, developmental balance and change readiness. By sharing experiences and expertise, the project catalyzes positive transformations in floorball across EU. Objectives The project's main objective was to support strategic development aligned with IFF and EU governance principles. Specific objectives included a universal development tool with outputs like a Compendium, Maturity Matrix, and Handbook. Especially the Maturity Matrix proved functional, introducing the idea of "Balanced Development." Development action plans tailored to NA's needs were successful, and the project raised awareness of good governance principles' importance and benefits in sport. Implementation The project had four phases: 1) common ground and shared understanding, 2) individual maturity analysis, 3) finalization of the action plan; awareness raising, 4) presentation of project results and evaluation. Methodologically, the project was ambitious, with most activities completed as planned, offering valuable experience knowledge exchange between mentor and mentee countries. The structured and realistic project followed the set timeframe. Achievements The project aimed to transform the mindset of floorball associations utilizing development tools. It impacted both internal and external environments, fostering understanding and governance principles. Members gained confidence, and dissemination activities garnered interest. Key indicators include completing 5 of 6 outputs and implementing 5 of 5 Action Plans. Sustainability involves transferring know-how to the IFF, supporting former mentee countries, and maintaining cooperation.
