Summary

Background TRYDE stems from 4 partners’ field: Equine Assisted Therapeutic, Educative, and Leisure Interventions (EAI). The 3th partner is founder and coordinator of N-DSA-N, an international network dealing with neurodevelopmental disorders. 3 partners already participated in Erasmus+ projects, on the same theme. Their previous experiences leaded them towards developing a transnational model for the collaboration of professionals, the harmonization and regulation of practices, networking and training. Objectives TRYDE project aimed at:Promoting equal opportunities and education in and through sport – referring to the “Encourage Social Inclusion and Equal Opportunities in Sports” priority –Increasing social inclusion and autonomy of Youth with Intellectual Disabilities, through a transnational model of innovative inclusive practices, based on EAI.Creating a permanent cross-sectorial structure for EU networking & capacity building, bringing together the sport and the healthcare sectors. Implementation Defining the EAI sector State of Art, mapping EAI centres in Europe and Latin America, recollecting and analysing best practices through stakeholders involvement and creating the Permanent Cross-sectorial International Commission for EAIs (WP2). Testing and validating our model through the practical activity Gymkhana, discussing results, with national/international level impact, through Round Tables, delivering Online Training Course through the EAV-Point Platform (WP3). Final Conference (WP4). Achievements 106 stakeholders involved (EAI Associations, autism Experts, Social Inclusion CSO/NPO, and Public/Private Health & Social Services institutions)197 EAI centres in our Sectorial Google Map.1 Guidelines of the EAI sector’s Best Practices, with +50 documents156 participants to the Virtual Training Course, constantly increasing14 completed Gymkhanas, with 70 children/youth12 Round Tables, with 15 participants4 communication tools1 Final Conference
