Background The City Council of Cullera developed a similar sport project called Sprinters in 2017 (Reference number: 579916-EPP-1-2016-2-ES-SPO-SCP).Sprinters was a transnational European project which wass coordinated by the municipality of Cullera and financed by the European Union and Erasmus+. The transnational association was composed of institutions, managers of protected natural areas and sport organizations of different European countries. Spain, Latvia, Italy, Bulgaria and France. Objectives To:Promote & encourage youth development & active participationIncrease interest &motivate the desire for personal developmentCreate conditions for the development & success of youthEncourage the professional development of disadvantaged peopleStrengthen the spiritual values of civil societyFacilitate social integrationConduct social events & organise voluntary & other support initiativesPromote & encourage the development of volunteeringSupport children youth from problematic families Implementation Duration: January 2020 to June 2023 (initially 24 months, extended to 30).Activities including: initials actions, recruitment of volunteers, local networks creation, transnational network development, pilot actions, training sessions, local festivals & trans. festivals in Corsica (France), Cullera (Spain).Trans. administrative & management meeetings (venues).Disseminations tasks: website, video, social media netwoks.Intelectual outputs by the UV & TRI (later translated to local language). Achievements Creation of: 1. National volunteering networks.2. Transnational volunteering networks.3. Inclusive rugby teams.4. Permanent Observatory (guidelines, studies, courses, reports, databases, polls, indicators, statistics...) to study & promote best practices on volunteering in social inclusion through sport.5.Permanent inclusive rugby network between all the partners that could grow incresingly to reach the whole European Union.
