high quality sports clubs: networking and joint development
โถSummary
Background Our main objective was to promote voluntary activity in sport. We had very clear in our minds what we are waiting for as a newcomer in Erasmus + Sport. Our big goal is to learn how EU funding mechanism works and how we can learn and share for partners EU priorities. Objectives The main objective was to benchmark, evaluate and find new ways to develop club activities, especially at the grassroots level. There was one coordinator and three partners involved: The Finnish Athletics Federation, Juventude Vidigalense (Portugal), Danish Athletic Association (Denmark) and Gothenburg Athletics Federation (Sweden). Implementation Finnish Athletics knew there are only few Athletic Federations in Europe or only very few Federations in Finland that have applied or got funding. We needed to find new perspectives that might help other Federations and sport clubs in Europe and in Finland. One important outcome was to benchmark high quality clubs in Europe. Achievements First seminar was organized 21.-22.10.21 in Helsinki. We disseminated seminar and contents by publishing press release and contacting high performance sport clubs.Second seminar was held 7.-8.4.22 in Copenhagen. After that we publish press release.Third seminar was held 28.-29.10.22 in Leiria.Seminars (meetings) were planned with host countries. The structure and program were same in all seminars.
