Background T.E.D.D.Y. Hero supported training and education in the field of sports and society by developing an innovative way of acquiring skills and abilities through non-formal education, team building activities and self-learning activities. TEDDY demonstrated the importance of the power and educational common value of sports since they unquestionably share the ability to transfer skills and abilities that give the athlete the characteristics of a capable individual and a responsible citizen. Objectives TEDDY enabled Consortium members to acquire and transfer tools, exchange experiences, skills and find innovative methods to promote education in and through sports, with a focus on skills development through sports practice and nonformal education.The project linked together sport clubs and associations operating in different sectors and sports in order to promote the values of sport as a unifying and formative element of the person as an athlete-sportsperson and active citizen in civil society Implementation The project was implemented through:- a kick-off meeting, to present all the details of the project and activities to the whole consortium, in Spain.- three transnational training/test meetings in Italy, mid-term evaluation meeting in Poland, final evaluation meeting in Croatia.- local workshops (in each country) to test the integration of NFE techniques into sports practice.- production of two final products, a manual and a self-assessment test. Achievements According to the final evaluations, the project has been very positive on:- club users that are more aware of the skills that can be acquired through sport, the benefits of sport (especially thanks to the questionnaire), and the workshop activities have enabled them to improve their soft skills- organizations and workers that are better trained and able to apply NFE methodologies to their sports practice and have increased their internationalization.
