Background The project was prepared based on the practices of a pilot school that included refugee and migrant students. The communication of refugee students with their other friends through physical education and sports was analyzed. Plans were made in cooperation with non-governmental organizations, sports clubs and educational institutions working in this field. Analysis-based plans were used throughout the project for integration through sport. Objectives 1. Social cohesion and inclusion of refugee/asylum seekers with through sports2. Increasing the capacities, expertise and capabilities of local non-governmental organizations and these civil society actors working to promote social inclusion and social cohesion of them3. Reducing the prejudices of local communities towards asylum seekers/refugees, and encouraging acceptance4. Raising awareness among decision makers to ensure social inclusion and equal opportunities for disadvantaged people. Implementation The activities, which lasted 24 months, were implemented within the scope of preparation, implementation, evaluation, monitoring and dissemination processes. The works were carried out in 2 categories as routine and special project activities. These were local and international management studies, sports activities, workshops, seminars, special studies such as the EU Week of Sport event, transnational project meetings, planning and evaluation studies, dissemination and promotion activities. Achievements During the project, a local and international communication network, social media accounts and a website were created. Information and promotion processes were carried out for local organizations working with asylum seekers and immigrants. Partner and stakeholder organizations transfered good practice from different countries. Field-specific application information was given to coaches and trainers. Brochures, final report, posters and participation certificates were produced.
