โ–ถSummary

Background Inclusion of 14 to 18 year olds through sport seems logical but has proven to be very difficult. In disadvantaged communities this is even more so. The membership of grassroots sport organisations is low and there are fewer clubs in these neighbourhoods. In the IncluPAS project we wanted to test out some tools to make inclusion of 14 to 18 year olds through sport easier. Projectpartners: Cities: Gent, Vilnius, Thessaloniki Research, communication, dissemination: Howest, Lunex, MySueno, VIDC Objectives -a community scan maps sport opportunities, target groups and partner organisations-co-creationsessions will be held with stakeholder organisations-community champions will be identified and empowered to use their talents-digital application will be installed to allow community champions to connect with their peers-Multiplier sport events per city-monitoring and evaluation -8 international meetings with all partners Implementation The cities did a community scan, meetings with local stakeholders, co-creationsessions with community champions (not in Gent), digital communication was used and the interventions were monitored by the research partners. For each city there was a start- and a processmeeting. A meeting was held to finalise each of the intellectual outputs and to prepare for evaluation and dissemination. All three cities organised a multiplier event, local in Vilnius and Thessaloniki and international in Gent. Achievements There is a good model to conduct a community scan and valuable knowledge around cross-sector collaboration. There are 10 community champions in Vilnius and 11 in Thessaloniki between the ages of 14 to 18 years old. A digital application 'CityLegends' was adapted and is ready to be used around Europe. All three cities had a Multiplier Event. All the knowledge from 2 years of this successful project can be consulted via inclupas.mylearnworlds.com.
