Summary

The aim of YOULead project is to face the youth unemployment issue by providing managerial skills to the youngsters; these skills can be spent in the labour market, raising their employability, especially in the field of grassroot sport organization. Through the participation of young people and Senior Leaders in sport organizations it will be possible to create an exchange on the way of working in this field, improving the organizations partner to face the changes of our today’s society. During the project there will be given to future young leaders and to new youngster (selected trough a dedicated Call) the possibility to participate to transnational meetings to improve skills and put into practice the acquired skills through an internship to be held during the Word Sport Games of CSIT (on July 2021). Key strategies of this project are the intergenerational dialogue, the learning by doing method and the co-design activities. The young leaders in fact are going to map the emerging sports in their own countries and, after a selection among those, together with the Seniors they will design new Championships. In this project are involved 7 sports organizations from different European country (Austria, Croatia, Estonia, Finland, Italy and Spain). All these organizations want to invest in young generation, promoting the improvement of skills into grassroot sport organizations. The dissemination activities are addressed to spread around Europe the project itself but also the new sport that are emerging that vehiculate EU values. At the end of every transnational meeting will be a final conference which involves stakeholders from different institutions to show the result obtained until that moment. During the final conference of the project it will be also launched the New Championships (and its promotional video) that were co-designed by Young Leaders and Senior Leaders during the preview’s months and the Handbook of the project.
