Move in a green way

Background Since sport and physical cultural activities impact the environment, it is becoming A NEED for sport organizations and sport-related corporations to develop and publicize their efforts to operate in more sustainable and environmentally friendly ways. Education is an essential tool for achieving a more sustainable world. The project addresses a sport in a way that can contribute to society by developing its unique social value in environmental awareness. Objectives The objectives of our project were:- to define ecological sustainability in sport by exchanging practises and researches - to improve the knowledge and skills of target group in sustainable sport- to identify specific sustainable ways and solutions in sport disciplines and activities gathered in a handbook which will be served as a tool for sport organizations- to encourage and reduce environmental footprint by raising ecological awareness- to foster citizens´engagement in sustainable sport Implementation Throughout the project we defined ecological sustainability in sport by exchanging practises and researches, improved the knowledge and skills of target group about sustainable sport by organizing a training seminar and local workshops in each country, identified specific sustainable ways and solutions in sport disciplines and activities gathered in a handbook which are served as a tool for sport organizations. Achievements During the projects, we achieved all the objectives set. By the project activities we could even reach more audience than it was planned in the initial phase. We created a quality material - handbook which recommendations are already implemented by partners and local stakeholders. We promoted Erasmus+ sport projects to our stakeholders and therefore the new partnerships and a new project has been created.
