IMPLEMENTATION OF COLPBOL SPORT AT EUROPEAN LEVEL AS A TOOL TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE PERSONS WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES

Background COLPBOL is an Spanish Sport which is positive for the Quality of Life of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (PwID) due to its simple rules and technical movements and inclusive characteristics allowing the involvement of PwID with Persons without Disabilities. Its implementation for PwID at EU level is very low because itΒ΄s not known outside Spain and because a specific methodology and training materials are needed for PwID, Professionals (Sport and Disability) and Supports. Objectives "EU-COLPBOL" aims to promote the implementation of COLPBOL for improving Quality of Life of PwID. Specific objectives: Develop guidelines and tools for PwID, Professionals (Sport and Disability) and Supports; Develop of an e-Training Platform; Creation of COLPBOL networks (Spain, Romania, Greece, Lithuania, Cyprus) and the European COLPBOL network; Implementation of dissemination actions, events and awareness actions.
